Her interests are in NGO training programmes to strengthen women’s capacity to work on human rights and women’s rights in their communities. Her action project is on women farmers in Sentosa village in Jayapura who struggle to sell their crops due to marginalization, transport, and location.

Capacity Building Project for Early Childhood Teachers in Kupang District, East Nusa Tenggara Province

“This project taught me that education is not only about theory but about connecting teachers with their own context, values, and creativity.”

The overall aim of the project is to enhance the children’s learning experience at Early Childhood Education (ECE) in South Amfoang sub-district, Kupang District by conducting capacity building training for the ECE teachers to provide lesson plans and an environment conducive to learning.

The whole program aims to help coastal communities, especially women, see business opportunities to be able to start businesses so that they have additional income as one of the strategies for sustainability of saving groups, reducing debt, and having stable family financial.

Her action project focuses on youth vulnerability in rural areas of Maluku by empowering young people to develop livelihood strategies and alternatives through co-design processes.

Dita volunteers full time for Juang Laut Lestari (JARI) Foundation, a locally run marine conservation organisation based in Lombok. JARI focuses on empowering local communities to understand and manage their local marine resources. Her action project is on how to help coastal communities, especially women, to start small to medium enterprises. Her interests are in preventing violence against women and children, and economic empowerment of marginalised communities and youth.

Irfan manages education and training on waste for NGO Lembaga Generasi Bintang Sejahtera NTB in West Nusa Tenggara and also promotes the waste bank model in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Irfan has extensive experience in Central Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and West Papua on community energy projects. His interests are in zero waste, public awareness, and circular economy. His action project is on improving solid waste management in the school environment through the ‘3Rs’.

Victor is the executive director of Macanga Institute and provides intensive pre-university coaching to young people and broader social and economic programs for the youth community. His interests are in youth empowerment and capacity-building strategies. Victor’s action project is on early school leavers aged 8-15 years old in Mamuju, West Sulawesi province. Victor developed his interest for mentoring in Aotearoa New Zealand and developed specific programs related to early school leavers or informal education program for fisher community in Mamuju.
