Niko works for the Research Institute for Women’s Empowerment and Child protection in Papua. The institute works to strengthen communities and protect the rights of women and children by drawing on local, and Indigenous wisdom. Niko’scurrent focus is on the economic empowerment of indigenous youth. His action project is on capacity building for women business groups in Papua.

“This book is important to increase public understanding that women have a role no less important than men. Through this project, women are given free space to share their knowledge and skills.”

About

Yuli is an alumni of the Faculty of Theology, Artha Wacana Christian University, Kupang. After graduating from college in 2016, she worked as a volunteer at the East Indonesia Women's Network (JPIT) and in early 2020 as Head of the JPIT Research and Development Unit. Together with JPIT friends, Yuli provides litigation and non-litigation assistance to victims of human trafficking and their families. These assistances include legal assistance, psychology, health, and economic empowerment.
