Linda Rasince Tagie (Linda)

About

Linda Tagie is the founder of Lowewini, a volunteer-led community organisation that uses education and cultural arts to promote social equality and create safe spaces for women and children who are victims of violence. Linda is also an indigenous Sabunese woman. She actively conducts research and writes about indigenous women on the island of Hawu, East Nusa Tenggara. She is currently writing a book on the cultural work practices of indigenous women on the island and conducting workshops on cultural work practices so that values can be transferred from adult Indigenous women to young women . Her action project focuses on continuing education for young women who have left school or are facing school exclusion as a result of unwanted pregnancies.
